Attendance at our Basic Compliance & Ethics Academy or our virtual Healthcare Compliance Esstials Workshop is probably the best way to provide a basic education on the role of a compliance officer. View all upcoming Academies or a Healthcare Compliance Essentials Workshop.
Attending our other conferences is another great way of learning what you need to know in compliance. Visit the HCCA Conference page for upcoming conferences, especially our annual Compliance & Ethics Institute. The topics covered span the gamut of compliance issues. This, plus our many other conferences, presents a great opportunity for networking with, and learning from, other compliance professionals. If you cannot travel to one of our many conferences, we also have many webinars each year on a variety of topics.
Membership in our association gives you the opportunity to access documents on our website uploaded by other members. You also have access to the members’ directory for networking purposes and substantial discounts on products and conferences.
For comprehensive compliance education, we also recommend the Complete Compliance and Ethics Manual, available for purchase via print or online subscription in COSMOS.
We would also recommend SCCE Compliance 101, written by Debbie Troklus, Greg Warner, and Emma Wollschlager Schwartz.
We recommend two documents to get you started: So They Want You To Start A Compliance Program and Compliance Program Evaluation Checklist.
